I shared a booth at a Safari Show and booked with him after the first day,  It was clear to me that his customers were his friends, and not just a revenue stream.  They shared what a great time they had with him and relived their grand adventures.  His wife is one of the most lovely people on the planet and while Dirky was just a boy when I first met him,  it was clear his father’s fingerprints were all over him.  He was an amazing young man in his own right and has grown up to be someone I would be proud to call my own son. 

I think Dirk’s special forces background is part of his DNA as nothing was left to chance.  The camp was beautiful, the vehicles were maintained as per the manufacturers specifications and his knowledge of local flora and fauna, tracking ability, processional photography skills and excellent staff made this a trip to remember.  Craig Boddington said if he were in a Dangerous Game area, he would be one of the best known PH’s on the continent. Namibia is where I would take my family as the beauty  of the land, safety, medical facilities and infrastructure are all exceptional.  I can reccomend his operation without reservation, regardless of whether you hunt with Dirk Sr. or his son!
